Day 1: Nairobi → Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel through the spectacular Great Rift Valley, enjoying panoramic views along the way. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, check in at your lodge, and have lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in the park, well known for its large flocks of flamingos that often tint the lake pink, as well as both black and white rhinos. The park’s varied scenery features wooded hills, acacia forests, and open grasslands. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, driving across the scenic Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, set out for your first game drive in the Mara, famous for its rich wildlife population including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalo. You may also choose to take part in an optional visit to a Maasai village or enjoy a guided walking safari led by local Maasai guides to learn more about their culture and traditional way of life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Full-Day Safari
Start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Watch for predators on the hunt and large herds of herbivores grazing across the savannah plains. Explore different sections of the reserve, including the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles are commonly spotted. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location within the park. In the afternoon, continue with additional game drives or opt for a guided nature walk to gain deeper insight into the area’s flora, fauna, and Maasai heritage. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Maasai Mara → Nairobi
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive for one last opportunity to view wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Begin the drive back to Nairobi, passing through rolling hills and rural countryside. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari experience.
