Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your mid-range hotel in Arusha. Use the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for your safari briefing in the evening.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting wildlife such as giraffes, lions, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. The Tarangire River attracts a wide variety of animals, making it one of the most rewarding parks for game viewing. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a comfortable mid-range lodge.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park, one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves in the world. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area, known for its year-round wildlife, especially large predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal). Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, encountering elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and various predators. The open plains and acacia woodlands provide a classic African safari setting.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional), a significant archaeological site that tells the story of early human history. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and stunning views of the crater below.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Enjoy a half-day game drive spotting lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino. Have your picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater wall and returning to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha / Departure

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and baboons. Enjoy a leisurely game drive through lush forests, grassy plains, and the lakeshore teeming with wildlife and birdlife. After lunch, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your memorable 7-day safari. Depending on your schedule, you can transfer directly to the airport for departure.
