DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, where our representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel or campsite in Arusha. Spend the day resting or exploring the vibrant town of Arusha  known as the safari capital of Tanzania. Your safari guide will meet you for a short briefing in the evening.

Main highlights: Arrival, pre-safari briefing, and optional city exploration.
Overnight: Budget campsite or lodge in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. The Tarangire River provides a permanent water source, attracting wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive where you’ll spot lions, zebras, giraffes, and more. Later in the afternoon, drive to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and colorful flamingos. The park’s landscape varies from lush forests to open grasslands and alkaline lakes, making it a haven for both wildlife and birds. Spend the day on a game drive through the park, stopping at scenic viewpoints overlooking the Rift Valley escarpment. Later, drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destination. As you enter the park, the plains stretch endlessly before you  home to millions of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and their predators. Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to your campsite, spotting lions, cheetahs, and elephants along the way.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, where wildlife roams freely across the vast savannah. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the most spectacular natural events on earth. Morning and afternoon game drives give you the best chance to see predators in action. In the evening, return to camp for dinner and relaxation under the starlit African sky.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before departing toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way, you can stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional visit), known as the “Cradle of Mankind.” Arrive at Simba Campsite on the crater rim in time for dinner and overnight, enjoying breathtaking views of the crater floor.

Overnight: Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most stunning wildlife habitats and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crater floor offers a high chance of seeing all the Big Five  lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a half-day game drive followed by a picnic lunch near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day safari.
