Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a gem famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and beautiful savannahs.

Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse habitats, home to lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of birdlife. The Tarangire River acts as a magnet for animals, especially during the dry season, providing excellent game viewing opportunities. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive. Later, head to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a mid-range lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best wildlife viewing destinations in Africa.

Enjoy a half-day game drive inside this natural amphitheater, home to over 25,000 animals, including elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino. Have a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then continue exploring the crater floor before ascending back to the rim in the afternoon. Return to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park located along the Great Rift Valley.

Enjoy a game drive through forests, open plains, and along the lake’s edge, where you might spot tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and large troops of baboons. The park’s varied habitats also make it a bird lover’s paradise. After lunch, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your exciting 3-day mid-range safari.
